Underfloor heating
Hydronic underfloor heating systems are a popular choice these days for new builds, property extensions and conversions.
Water underfloor heating systems use much less energy than a conventional central heating system. As UFH spreads the heat evenly across the floor-space of a room there is less need for higher temperatures required to heat a room using the conventional radiator temperature of some 60 egress. This is achieved by underfloor heating emitting radiant heat from objects in the room with around 35-45% lower temperatures. This is of course dependant on the walls, ceiling and window construction regarding residual heat-loss.
